Computer Backups are becoming more important each day. Very few people will not be able to name someone who has experienced data loss even if they have not yet experienced it themselves. Normal backup systems work by taking a copy of your data in a quiet period such as overnight to a physical media device such as a external hard drive. The physical backup drive is at risk of fire, theft and data corruption and many times users will abort a backup process running at an inconvenient time. The backup files are available as a drive icon within My Computer and should the worst happen the data can be restored back to any computer via the Carbonite secure downloadable software.
